EU Research Manager, Marketing

Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to manage the delivery, analysis and reporting of all Pan European studies. This person will work cross functionally with EU Corporate, product management, sales, and publisher services as a member of the EU Communications/Marketing team and will actively promote the use of data as a selling tool.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Management and European Sales to propose custom research studies to prospective clients (e.g. Brand advertising effectiveness studies, post campaign evaluation etc)
  • Manage delivery and analysis and reporting of all custom studies
  • Promote awareness and knowledge sharing of all custom and syndicated research
  • Support marketing, EU corporate, sales and publisher services with adhoc research requests such as internal and external surveys or analysis of available 3rd party research (e.g. Jupiter research, emarketer, econsultancy, etc)
  • Assist with the development of sales collateral and public relations that uses research data
  • Establish relationships with industry organisations and attend relevant industry meetings
  • Manage relationships and budgets with outside research vendors
  • Keep apprised of the latest research developments in online marketing
  • Actively engage in dialogue with the Head of Research in the US to compare best practices and results
  • In depth analysis of third party tools (eg comScore, NetRatings, Addynamix, Ad relevance etc)

Skills

  • Ability to quickly learn about Advertising.com products
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal clients and outside vendors
  • Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech, rapidly growing and exciting environment
  • Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external).
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of comScore Media Metrix, AdRelevance or similar research tools a plus

Desired Characteristics

  • Additional Languages (e.g. German, French)
  • Commercially motivated
  • Customer orientated
  • Experience in public speaking

Education and/or experience

  • Experience working in a pan-European environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Higher degree preferred
  • 4-5 years experience working in market research (interactive a plus)
  • Knowledge of comScore Media Metrix and/or Nielsen//Netratings a plus
  • Or relevant combination of education and experience.
